TeamClip helps amateur sports leagues, coaches, players and parents schedule their games, share information and track their season. It also makes uploading video of the games to show to friends and family easy enough for almost anyone to do. TeamClip is powered by SageCast, a video delivery system Sagebit has had in production since 2005. In addition, it showcases the power and flexibility of Ruby on Rails. After beta testing with local leagues, TeamClip is being redesigned for additional ease of use.

This project for a leading social networking site involved redesigning their existing PHP forums in Ruby on Rails. Hundreds of thousands of threads and millions of replies had to be migrated to a newly designed content management system. We integrated Sphinx for powerful and quick searching. Finally, SQL tables, keys, indexes, and queries were optimized to ensure the site could scale.

PICaso automated the porting of a social networking website’s existing collection of hundreds of thousands of photos to Amazon S3. Using Ruby on Rails, a rake task was created to handle most of the initial importing and resizing of photos from the existing flat file system into Amazon’s S3. A simple interface was also designed by Sagebit to allow the client to quickly sort, crop, and resize the photos. Click on the view larger link to view the cropping interface.

Yeti identifies spoofs, phishing scams and hoaxes in email messages. Algorithms identify patterns that cause alarm and a response comes back to you lickety split that says safe or dangerous.
