Internships

Web Applications Internship

You do not need a CS degree for this internship. You do need to be curious about the future of the internet and web applications. Knowing what web applications might mean would definitely be helpful.

The intern position here in web development covers:

  • A little programming
  • A little marketing
  • A little data analysis
  • A little design
  • A little of everything

This is an entry level opportunity to learn about what goes on in a modern software development company that specializes in web applications. The future of computing is off the desktop and in the clouds.

Qualifications:

  • Some experience or interest in MVC development languages, especially Ruby on Rails
  • Any background in design a plus, particularly if you know how to use Photoshop or GIMP
  • Interest in web applications and a working knowledge of what is going on online right this very second

Graphic Designer

Start Date: December, 2008

Imaginative graphic designer needed to join a growing team of custom solutions providers. Produce PSD files for web applications, generate user interface ideas and bring coherency of design to all projects Sagebit undertakes. Any ability to code on the front or back end is a definite bonus

Requirements

  • Relevant experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, etc
  • Portfolio of completed sites
  • Passion for cool, simple, RoR style design

Experience Desired

  • Excellent team coding skills with clean, modular code design and the ability to work and communicate in a fast paced environment
  • Responsible, quick, smart, dedicated and motivated

Front-End Developer

Start Date: December, 2008

Energetic frontend developer needed to join a growing team of custom solutions providers. Produce HTML and CSS templates, generate ideas, design testing cycles and help with business integration tasks.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Excellent team coding skills with clean, modular code design and the ability to work and communicate in a fast paced environment
  • Responsible, quick, smart, dedicated and motivated

Experience Desired

  • Graphic design experience a plus
  • Knowledge of AJAX

Back-End Developer

Start Date: January, 2009

Energetic software developers needed to join a growing team of custom solutions providers. Produce code, generate ideas, design testing cycles and help with business integration tasks.

Requirements

  • BA / BS in Computer Science, Software Development / Engineering or relevant experience
  • Experience coding in a multi-tier, database driven architecture and familiarity with MVC design
  • Excellent team coding skills with clean, modular code design and the ability to work and communicate in a fast paced environment
  • Responsible, quick, smart, dedicated and motivated

Experience Desired

  • Ruby / Rails
  • Linux / Unix administration
  • MySQL or other SQL-compatible language
  • Experience with library-based video conversion utilities a plus
