Sagebit was founded in 2005 with the goal of creating superior software. Our focus has always been tools that are easy to use. To that end we have focused on cross-platform solutions that prioritize simplicity and function. We work in Ruby on Rails. Why? Ruby on Rails is the first cordless drill of software development. It lets us rapidly develop custom solutions, focusing on business needs while leveraging modern architecture conventions. Clients don’t care about database abstraction or templating languages; they want solutions to their business challenges. Rails lets us spend our time focusing on what’s important to the client. Prototypes can be developed in hours, and fully functional, deployable solutions can be delivered in weeks, not months or years. In the last 12 months we have begun to augment our development team with offshore resources. Meet The Team
Benjamin J. Mishkin Lead Architect
Benjamin is a highly qualified software architect, with a Masters in CS from Brown University. He also brings a diverse background to the table, with a liberal arts degree from Dartmouth College as well as having earned the CFA designation from his time working at Janus in the financial sector. In addition to being an experienced technologist, Benjamin enjoys cooking and playing the trombone, two hobbies that require precision and creativity.
Jess McCarter Project Management Specialist
Jess has over 10 years of project management experience in real estate development, retail and software development. Building things comes naturally to this son of a designer and contractor. Like Benjamin, Jess attended Dartmouth College, and he applies his liberal arts education to a wide variety of talents and interests. In addition to Sagebit, Jess has been employee number one at innovative startups like Samasource.
